Golden State Warriors superstar small forward Kevin Durant has posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story about “false information.”

As has been the case all season, rumors surrounding Durant's free agency this summer continue to dominate the headlines despite the NBA Finals going on. The latest scuttlebutt is that Durant and Boston Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving are going to team up on the Brooklyn Nets, and not the New York Knicks.

It's crazy, but it would shock a lot of people if Durant re-signs with the Warriors this summer only because all season insiders have reported that the two-time reigning Finals MVP wants to embark on a new challenge. KD has won two straight championships with the Warriors since signing with them in the summer of 2016, but he hasn't gotten the credit and recognition he wants from the media and fans.

The Warriors have already ruled out Durant for Game 4 of the NBA Finals, which is on Friday. KD is still recovering from the right calf strain he suffered against the Houston Rockets in Game 5 of the second round. It's unclear if he'll be back for the remainder of the NBA Finals.

This offseason is going to be wild in terms of free agency. All eyes are going to be on Durant.
