LaVar Ball is now set to face off against legitimate NBA-level competition in what is definitely going to be a highly-anticipated matchup starring the loud-mouthed Ball family patriarch. However, it might not be the exact level of competition Ball would have been hoping for, as the 51-year-old is reportedly going to face off against Golden State Warriors big man Kevon Looney.

In a write-up by Christian Rivas of USA TODAY Sports, Ball has reportedly been invited to take part in a charity event in Milwaukee, which will be hosted by the 23-year-old Golden State forward/center. Looney, a one-time NBA champion, is by no means a small fry, but may not exactly be in the same league as LaVar — in his own opinion, of course. For those who may have missed or have forgotten about one of Ball's most audacious claims, let me remind you that this man once said that he would have beaten the great Michael Jordan in a game of one-on-one in their prime.

LaVar has been a bit out of the spotlight of late (relatively, of course) following his son, Lonzo Ball's move to the New Orleans Pelicans. LaVar was living up the life in Hollywood while his eldest son was with the Los Angeles Lakers for the past two seasons, but it now seems that his fame is headed to a slow death in one of the smaller market teams in the league.

As for Looney, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin native, he has been called to host the 7th Annual Rebel Rumble Charity Double Header in his home town. It's actually a good PR move bringing in a highly-recognizable name like Ball, and it's even better that we get to see LaVar get his butt kicked for a good cause.
