The Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder have become championship contenders and have beat the defending champions twice this year. Both teams figure to be potential roadblocks in the Warriors quest for a championship repeat. Still, Golden State has a key ingredient in its championship formula.
They have Thompson, who makes up part of the Warriors' offensive nucleus. Thompson has a knack for getting hot and scoring in bunches when he needs to.
Klay Thompson is also a reliable defender who can cover multiple positions, making Thompson a valuable asset at both ends of the floor for Golden State.
In the postseason, Thompson will be counted on to produce heavily by the Warriors, as they target another title. For now, he has further solidified his place in the franchise's history after he scored 10,000 points. Hopefully, he can score 10,000 more later in his career.
