Klay Thompson won Game 1 for the Golden State Warriors against the Memphis Grizzlies. Naturally, he was extra hyped after the final buzzer sounded on Sunday.

The Warriors appeared to be in trouble all game long, and Draymond Green's ejection late in the second quarter didn't help at all. While they were able to keep the game close throughout, they fell behind 116-114 with just a little over a minute remaining in the final quarter.

Fortunately, Thompson stepped up when it mattered most and gave the lead back to the Dubs with a clutch triple with 36 seconds left. He did miss two free throws that would have given them a more comfortable lead after that, but it doesn't really matter now as they erased Memphis' homecourt advantage with the victory.

As the Warriors escaped with the 117-116 win, Thompson was seen getting really ecstatic as he flexed and celebrated.

The Warriors really needed that kind of clutch performance from Klay Thompson, and he certainly has every right to be happy about the win. On a day that he largely struggled, that was exactly what he needed to keep his confidence moving forward.

Thompson finished with 15 points on 6-of-19 shooting from the field. Jordan Poole, meanwhile, led the Warriors with a near triple-double of 31 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.

As for Stephen Curry, he had 24 points on 8-of-20 shooting.

Despite the win, though, Golden State will surely be hoping to play better in Game 2 as they look to further put the Grizzlies in a major hole.
