Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson and Los Angeles Lakers small forward LeBron James are fierce rivals on the court. They have faced each other in the NBA Finals four times and gone at one another on a few occasions.

However, off the court, James and Thompson are friends. LeBron asked Klay to be in Space Jam 2 and the Warriors star gladly accepted. The two All-Stars also shared a funny exchange on Instagram recently after James passed Thompson on the all-time playoffs 3-pointers list.

Via Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area:

James passed Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson on the all-time playoffs 3-pointers list for third place in NBA history. When Thompson saw the news on Instagram, he wrote “Dang don't do me like that @kingjames!!”

And LeBron has a pretty good idea the Splash Brother will be back to burying 3s in the near future.

“@klaythompson I have a strong hunch you'll pass me right back in the playoffs 2021 playoffs!!” James responded.

Klay Thompson missed the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his ACL tear. The Warriors sharpshooter will be back on the court draining 3s in 2020-21 and Golden State should be back in the playoffs with Stephen Curry, Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins leading the way.

The Warriors also have the second overall pick in the 2020 draft. They can either draft an impactful young player or trade the pick for a star.

As for LeBron James, his Lakers are one of the betting favorites to win the 2020 title at Walt Disney World. Los Angeles is currently up 2-1 on the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the postseason.
