Watching the Golden State Warriors offense is a thing of beauty when the team is healthy. The free-flowing offensive sets open up plenty of catch and shoot three-pointers and alley-oops, thoroughly frustrating even the most talented defensive teams at times. However, when star guard Stephen Curry is taken out of the equation, the Dubs' offense can quickly revert to clunky isolation plays and a lot of standing and watching.

As proof of this, a Redditor by the name of “tmen7” pointed out that:

“The last time the Warriors reached 30 assists before [Monday night] was 11 games ago, they day Curry got hurt”

It's not just the assist totals that show Stephen Curry's importance to the Warriors' offense. A quick look at their record shows just how much the team missed Curry in his 11-game absence, as they just went 4-7 and lost four straight games for the first time since Steve Kerr has become the head coach.

The Warriors easily dispatched of the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night in Curry's return, winning by a score of 128-111. Stephen Curry looked excellent, scoring 30 points in just 29 minutes while draining six threes. Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant also performed excellently, combing with Curry for 85 points.

The Hawks were led by 24 points from John Collins, who also chipped in 11 rebounds and a block. Rookie Trae Young improved off his last game against the Warriors, scoring 20 points but recording a game-high seven turnovers.

Now that Stephen Curry is back and appears healthy, the Warriors will look to prove to the league that they are still the team to beat to capture a championship.
