When Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry started the “Night Night” celebration during the 2022 playoffs, little did he know that it will trend like it did today. Now, more and more fans are jumping into the hype and even taking it to the next level.

Such was the case recently when a young hooper decided to do the “Night Night” celebration, but in Level 2 (… or 3?). It even garnered the attention of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, who jokingly blamed Curry for the rather funny trend he started.

In a video that is now going viral, a young fan did Curry's signature celebration. Instead of doing the hand gesture and head alone, however, the kid really laid on the hardcourt and pretended to sleep! The Warriors guard was in awe of the kid, while James couldn't help but laugh at the incident.

Now that's how you trash-talk opponents. Stephen Curry's “Night Night” is cool and all, but if he doesn't do what the kid did, it just feels wrong now. Maybe it'll even be better if he does it against LeBron James and the Lakers when they meet?

It isn't the first time someone imitated the celebration. Several athletes, particularly in the WNBA, have done it after the Warriors' championship. Nonetheless, no one thought of really putting their own spin to it. Props to the young hooper for being an innovator himself!

With the video trending online, perhaps more will copy the new “Night Night” version and give Curry and James more reason to laugh.
