As analysts predict the outcome of Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant's impending free agency, former Warriors coach Mark Jackson gave his two cents on the situation on Tuesday.

While he didn't actually predict a landing spot for Durant, he spoke on the future of the Warriors and whichever team Durant signs with, saying:

“Kevin Durant is a game-changer. If he stays, if he goes to another team, another team would have a legit chance of being relevant and winning. But this is a team (Golden State) that’s not going anywhere.’’

Durant is undeniably one of the best players in the league. He is a proven scorer and a much-improved defender, and Jackson is correct that any team that signs him immediately becomes a threat.

Another interesting point that Jackson brings up is the future of a potentially Durant-less Warriors.

Already this postseason, the Warriors have proven they can win without him. They beat the Rockets after losing Durant while up 3-2 in the series. They crushed the Portland Trailblazers with ease in the Western Conference Finals. It'd be silly to think they would fall apart even if Durant departs.

However, can the Warriors keep up this success in an 82 game regular season? They have enough talent that when locked in, they can still hang with any team in the league even while missing Durant. But the regular season is long and draining. It's possible they drop off a little in regular season play.

All questions will be answered soon after the Finals.

The Warriors will have to prove yet again they can succeed without Durant in Game 1 as he sits out with a calf injury.
