Mark Jackson, ESPN analyst and former Golden State Warriors head coach, jokingly said on television on Wednesday night that he is taking credit for Stephen Curry's shooting ability.

This is very ironic, seeing that Jackson was the coach of the Golden State Warriors at the beginning of Curry's career and was subsequently fired. His replacement was Steve Kerr, who has since brought the Warriors three championships alongside Curry.

Ironically, Jackson actually had a fairly decent record in his three years as head coach of the team. In his final year, the team won 51 games but lost in the first round of the playoffs. Even though he had an overall record of 121-109, the team decided to move on and bring in more of a modern coach in Kerr.

Overall, Kerr has done a wonderful job leading the team. Even though his players might complain that they don't get enough pick-and-rolls, with the addition of Kevin Durant in 2017 and now DeMarcus Cousins in 2019, the team has gone from championship contender to one of the league's greatest dynasties. In the regular season, they've gone 292-77 over the past five seasons. They've finished in first place in the Western Conference every single year.

Jackson has been a part of many rumors in the past few years when coaching vacancies pop up. It will be interesting to see if Jackson ever leaves his TV gig with ESPN for another NBA job.

The Warriors are 27-14 on the season and currently sit second in the NBA's Western Conference. They will face off next against the Chicago Bulls at home.
