Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and former teammate Andre Iguodala have been in touch as usual through the offseason, despite the latter being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies earlier this summer. The two developed a true friendship and a love for golf during their six years together, a bond that is nearly unbreakable even if they are bound to be apart in the near future.

However, Curry argues he has yet to “feel” his absence.

“I honestly haven't felt it,” said Curry, according to Logan Murdock of NBC Sports Bay Area. “Yet.”

“We haven't been in camp. Monday or Tuesday will be a real shell-shock in terms of his presence being missed and how much he's meant to our team. I've played golf with him three times over the summer. We'll feel it.”

Iguodala is slated to remain away from the Grizzlies, working out on his own while the team finds a potential trade that suits them.

A route to a reunion with the Warriors is unlikely to happen as soon as this season, but possible if Iguodala is traded again and receives a buyout from the team that acquires him, making him able to return for the veteran's minimum:

“A lot of if's, man,” Curry said of the possibility.

Would the two-time MVP be open to a reunion with his golfing buddy? The answer is simple:

“What?” Curry answered rhetorically with a blank stare. “Of course, man.”

The pathway to make that happen this season is murky, but if the veteran sticks around long enough, a reconnection next season couldn't be scratched from the books just yet.
