The Golden State Warriors dealt with a lot of injuries during this season, but now as they go through the stretch run of the playoffs there is only have one guy left on the injury report: Patrick McCaw, who is still recovering from a lumbar spine contusion.

As the regular season wound down, McCaw went up for a layup against the Sacramento Kings when he was undercut by Vince Carter. He landed hard on his back and instantly rolled around on the court in agony.

He was eventually taken off the court in a stretcher. His recovery has been difficult, but McCaw still holds out hope that he will be able to return to the court this postseason.

“That is a goal, definitely. I definitely want to be back this season. That is my main goal,” McCaw told Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

His addition would give the Warriors some more bench depth, something you can never have enough of.  As McCaw works back from the injury, the one thing he hasn't done is watch a replay of the scary fall.

“I haven’t seen the video,” McCaw said. “I don’t really care to see it. I remember it pretty vividly. I was there. I haven’t taken the time to go back to just watch.”

McCaw has been cleared for running and some modified on the court shooting, so that is a good step in the right direction. There is still a little ways to go, but if the Warriors keep winning and advancing, the chances get better and better for McCaw's return this year.
