Two supergiants from the sporting world met at Staples Center Monday night when Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry ran into each other inside the tunnels of the Los Angeles Lakers’ home arena.

Here’s Joe Vardon of The Athletic with photographic evidence of the two future Hall of Famers, albeit of different sports, saying hi to each other.

Pacquiao seems to be taking his time in the United States before flying back home to the Philippines. It’s been a couple of days since Pacquiao peppered Adrian Broner’s body and ego with blows in a unanimous victory in their title match in Las Vegas, which was akin to how the Warriors took care of their business against the Lakers.

Pacquiao witnessed the Warriors rip the Lakers apart in a 130-111 road win. Curry scored just 11 points on a salty 3-for-12 shooting from the floor and a 2-for-10 line from behind the arc, but he made up for those bad numbers by dishing out a game-high 12 dimes to go with five rebounds in 30 minutes of action. He was not compelled to score a lot, though, as teammate Klay Thompson lit up the scoreboard with an unforgettable performance, draining 10 3-pointers and finishing with 44 points.

The Warriors, who extended their unbeaten streak to eight games, will enjoy a two-day rest before continuing their road trip on Thursday against the Washington Wizards.
