Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James appears to have hurt his groin and Steph Curry is not going to waste the opportunity to lead his Golden State Warriors back in the game.

James head to the locker room due to a groin injury. After that, Curry smelled blood and knocked down two three-pointers with almost four minutes left to play in the game. His two long-range bombs helped the Warriors pull within eight after being down by as much as 17 points before James went out of the game.

Curry has been struggling before James hurt his groin, missing all of his attempts from beyond-the-arc. His three-pointers pumped the Warriors up. Andre Iguodala also knocked down a three-pointer off a Curry assist, while Kevin Durant slammed it home in their next possession to trim the lead down to three.

Knowing that he is already in his rhythm, Curry attempted another three-pointer. He failed to convert it but drew a foul from Kyle Kuzma. The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player knocked down all three free throws to pull within two, 78-76 with less than three minutes to play in the game.

However, the Lakers had a run of their own. Brandon Ingram, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Lance Stephenson silenced the crowd inside the Oracle Arena with big plays. The Lakers held on to a 91-82 lead heading into the third period. Los Angeles carried the momentum in the fourth period, where they built a 17 point lead in the 9:21 mark of the game.
