SAN FRANCISCO — As the season continues for Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson, he's getting better and better by the day. He had his best performance of the season on Thursday night against the Sacramento Kings, a team that No. 11 loves to torture for passing on him in the 2011 NBA draft.
The three-time champion started the game by knocking down his first seven shots, but his sixth shot of the game is the one that made the crowd lose it and so did Thompson. It was an electric moment, and Stephen Curry had to talk about it after the game.
“It was awesome to see. I love when he's got a pep in his step and getting rewarded with shots going in,” Curry told ClutchPoints. “He can get hot at any moment when he's got that look in his eye, we love to see that. It's a big boost for the whole team, I know it's for him as well.”
It was a perfect shooting start for Thompson, but Curry found one flaw in his nearly perfect half.
“I just got to give him some pointers on his celebrations,” Curry said. “Other than that it was kind of a flawless performance by him and that flurry in the first half really helped us bring some energy to the game.”

After his fifth made three-pointer, Thompson ran off of the court to celebrate with the crowd, which players do often. The only problem with his celebration was the Kings didn't call timeout yet. They eventually did, so it ended up not being a big deal.
The Warriors won convincingly, 126-114, extending their winning streak to eight games.
