These days it feels like Stephen Curry breaks a record every other game. The Golden State Warriors superstar is in the midst of an iconic season that saw him break the all-time record for most three-pointers in the history of the game. On Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets, Curry added another feather in his cap.

Saturday's matchup marked Steph's 808th career game for the Warriors. He has now surpassed Dubs legend Chris Mullin for the most games played in franchise history (h/t Warriors on NBCS on Twitter):

Curry is one of the few remaining lifers in the NBA. He started off his career with the Dubs some 13 years ago and he's been a Warrior ever since. At this point, it's virtually unimaginable that Curry ends up leaving Golden State to play for another team before he calls it a career.

Coach Steve Kerr shared his thoughts on this particular milestone of Curry and it is clear that the Dubs shot-caller holds this one in very high regard:

“Steph has done so many things and there are so many records that they run into each other,” Kerr told reporters prior to Saturday's game, via Taylor Wirth of NBC Sports. “I love that particular record just because it signifies his loyalty to the franchise and vice versa, the love-affair that exists between Steph and the Bay. It's pretty unique. You don't see this an awful lot.

“You think of Reggie Miller in Indiana or Larry Bird in Boston. Kobe Bryant in LA, Tim Duncan and Manu [Ginóbili] in San Antonio, it's pretty unique, pretty special and I know we take great pride in our organization in Steph and I think he takes a lot of pride in representing us and the Bay Area, so that record is a reminder of how lucky we are to have him as our cornerstone of the franchise.”

Kerr could not have said it more perfectly. There are few love affairs in the NBA that is quite like what Curry has with the Warriors. Steph has a few more years left in the tank and at this point, we should all just enjoy the ride while it lasts.
