Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha Curry is the epitome of an NBA power couple. They are both successful in their respective fields and have a beautiful family with three adorable children.

However, things could have been a lot different if the Warriors guard's loving wife took the advice of her fellow NBA WAG Gabrielle Union.

During a tough time in Steph and Ayesha's marriage, Union, who is married to NBA legend Dwyane Wade, urged the pair to just break up and try having relations with other people.

“I was like, ‘You guys, the likelihood of this working out is very low and you should just break up now and have sex with other people,'” Union revealed during an Instagram Live chat with the Currys on Tuesday.

“I used a little different language but is that not what I told y’all both?” she added.

Ayesha then confirmed that piece of “wisdom” from Union, which took place during former NBA player Dorell Wright's birthday party a few years back.

“You looked at me and said, ‘How old are you? OK,'” Ayesha said.  Union replied with, “Precisely, because I was a THOT.”

Steph and Ayesha eventually patched things up and built a strong foundation for their relationship through faith.

To their defense, Union and Wade claimed that they were also at a different phase in their relationship at the time.

D-Wade even chimed in and apologized to the pair, claiming “That’s not who we are anymore.”

Gabrielle also credited the Currys finding the right path to resolving their marital issues.

“There are very, very few people that I have met who have been consistent. I’ve known you guys for well over a decade and there are a lot of people who talk about faith and there’s a lot of people who talk about moving the culture forward, but something isn’t real somewhere,” she said.

The Wades, on the other hand, have also mellowed since they tied the know in 2014. The pair welcomed a beautiful baby girl Kaavia James in 2018.
