Now that the storm has somewhat settled on the highly-publicized spat between Golden State Warriors teammates Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, the next logical step would be for the team to try and put this ugly episode behind them.

This is certainly the case for star point guard Stephen Curry, who believes that despite the overblown fiasco, the team handled the situation with utmost professionalism.

“But I think the way we’ve handled it as a team, the way Draymond’s handled it, the way KD’s handled it, it’s been nothing but professionalism and understanding that it’s about the team,” said the two-time MVP winner, via Fox Sports Asia.

There was definitely nothing professional about the heated exchange that went down between the two during the Warriors' matchup against the Los Angeles Clipeprs last week. Green apparently said a lot of untoward (to say the least) things to Durant, which led to the former's team-sanctioned suspension.

While it is undeniable that some lines were crossed, and that this incident put a dent in the relationship of these two stars, neither spoke negatively about the other to the media. Everything was kept in house, and it appears that whatever beef was settled within the confines of the team.

This is probably the best way this could have been handled, and both Green and Durant need to be given credit for being professional in the aftermath of their feud.

Now, being civil is one thing. How this ultimately affects Durant's free agency decision next summer remains to be seen. Hopefully, Curry is right, and at the end of the day, all parties involved put the benefit of the team first above their own personal gain.
