Aside from being a three-time NBA champion coach, Golden State Warriors shot-caller Steve Kerr is also a five-time champ during his playing days. He's had the privilege of sharing the court with some of the greatest players this game has ever seen, and right now, he has the honor of coaching the greatest shooter of all time in Stephen Curry.

Kerr has never been short of praise for his superstar. In a recent interview, the Warriors coach shared why Curry reminds him of a couple of Kerr's old teammates. Having played alongside arguably the greatest power forward of all time in Tim Duncan, Kerr believes that Curry carries the same type of attitude with the San Antonio Spurs legend:

“The combination of humility and humor, and then total confidence on the floor,” Kerr said, via Ramona Shelburne of ESPN. “It's such an amazing combination. A lot of people who have the humor and the humility, usually guys like that are the ones who are at the end of the bench.

“So when you have a superstar that has that type of combination, it's so rare and incredibly powerful.”

Not only is Curry a tremendous basketball player, but he also has the unique ability to bring joy to his team. This is one of the reasons why his Warriors teammates hold him in such high regard.

Kerr also had the opportunity to play with the GOAT, Michael Jordan, for several years with the Chicago Bulls. In his mind, Kerr believes that Curry's greatness is now comparable to that of MJ:

“He's reminding me of MJ in that you just get so used to the brilliance and the excellence, it sort of blends in with everything else,” Kerr said. “It just becomes routine. It's insane to say that because what you're watching is otherworldly, and yet you sort of begin to expect it. That's probably the purest sign of greatness.”

There's no denying that Kerr holds a little bit of bias here when it comes to Stephen Curry. However, it's also hard to argue against his statements here considering how the Warriors star has revolutionized the game as we know it. Needless to say, Steph absolutely deserves to be mentioned right up there with the legends of the game.
