Get ready. Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is about to throw on a suit and host the biggest award show in professional sports.

Steph took to Twitter on Wednesday to make the big announcement, revealing he will be the main man at the ESPYs on July 20th:

Quite the honor for the Warriors guard, who is coming off his fourth NBA title. The celebrations have probably just stopped, too. We saw Curry and the rest of the Dubs absolutely live it up at their championship parade a couple of weeks ago in San Francisco, with Steph even seen chugging back some premium tequila in the club.

The veteran played a gigantic part in the Warriors' title run, averaging over 30 points per game in the Finals against the Boston Celtics en route to his very first MVP on the big stage.

The ESPYs is always an amazing night where the best of the best are awarded for their accomplishments. Steph himself is up for a total of four nominations. Best athlete in men's sports, best record-breaking performance, and best NBA player. He's also nominated alongside his Warriors teammates for the best team.

Here is Curry's statement on being able to host the ESPYS, via The Hollywood Reporter:

“I’ve had the pleasure of attending The ESPYS but never imagined I’d have the privilege of hosting this special event,” said Curry in a statement. “As someone who loves the intersection of sports and entertainment, I look forward to delivering an exciting show for the fans while we celebrate the athletes who created the top moments of the year.”

The 2022 ESPYs will be held in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theatre.
