Stephen Curry is in line for having one of the best shooting seasons in his career, currently shooting 49.5 percent from the field, 42.4 percent from deep, and 91.8 percent from the stripe — numbers only a whisker shy of the elite 50/40/90 club.

According to ESPN's Zach Lowe, the Golden State Warriors point guard would need to shoot from 51 to 52 percent for the remainder of the season to secure a chance to join the club once again.

Curry ha flirted with this club in multiple occasions, but in fact, he's been part of an even more prestigious one, which he shares with Steve Nash — the 50/45/90 club, which he joined in his second MVP season in 2015-16, shooting 50.4 percent from the floor, a lethal 45.4 percent from beyond the arc, and a 90.8 clip from the foul line.

With eerily similar numbers than his MVP season, Curry will only need to make more than he misses for the rest of the season in order to nab yet another inclusion into such a prestigious club.

Sounds simple?

Well it's not, even for a high-caliber player, as Curry has managed to shoot over 50 percent in seven of his last 14 games.

Consistency is tough to achieve in the NBA, especially for a volume shooter, and even more so for a guard, who takes a large percentage of his shots from long-range. This season, 10.1 of Curry's 17.2 attempts per game (58.7 percent) have come from 3-pointers.

If he manages to do so, he'll join the likes of Larry Bird, Mark Price, Reggie Miller, Nash, and his current teammate Kevin Durant as the only ones to ever do it.
