Golden State Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry managed to pass Chris Mullin for the No. 4 spot on the franchise's all-time scoring list during Tuesday night's 116-102 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Following the game, Curry took some time to reflect on what this achievement means. Surprisingly, though, he didn't know he was closing in on this milestone.

“I'm really upset with a certain individual in this room, because I didn't know that this was on the horizon,” Curry said with a smile during his post-game media availability. “It kind of caught me off guard, but it was a pretty special night. Understanding what Chris Mullin was able to do in his career, wearing a Warriors uniform, representing the organization and The Bay Area. His jersey is in the rafters for a reason.

“It was a pretty cool moment,” Curry added. “I hope I see (Chris) or talk to him at some point. We'll share a good moment.”

Curry logged 30 minutes in Tuesday's win, scoring 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field (5-of-10 from beyond the arc), five assists, four rebounds and three steals.

With just over seven minutes remaining in the game, Curry knocked down a long three over two defenders to pass Mullin's mark:

Curry and the Warriors will be back in action on Thursday night, when they'll travel to Los Angeles for a match-up against the Lakers. Tip-off inside the STAPLES Center is set for 10:30 p.m. ET, with TNT having live broadcast coverage.
