Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry enjoyed playing in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday. After all, with New York Knicks fans in attendance, it means they had an extra motivation to win.

Curry said so as much after helping the Warriors take a 114-106 win, noting that it was “awesome” to see fans heckling and then hushing them after with their brilliant game.

“There were some fans heckling, which was awesome. And me and Draymond were talking about, there’s no better feeling – I don’t care if it’s 19,000 or 2,500 or whatever it is – you love silencing a road crowd,” Curry said, per Brian Mahoney of The Associated Press.

Sure enough, Stephen Curry has every right to talk. Besides, he more than just silenced the crowd, as he also broke their hearts and spoiled what should have been a great night for the Knicks after Julius Randle was named an All-Star for the first time in his career. Fans even poured in “MVP” chants on Randle as they celebrate the incredible milestone!

However, Curry decided to drop 37 points on the Knicks to lead the Warriors to victory. He also recorded six rebounds, six assists and two steals, all while shooting 9-of-22 from the field including 7-of-14 from beyond the arc.

To add more pain to the hearts of Knicks fans, Randle was ejected late in the game after getting his second technical foul.

Trash-talking aside, Steph and the Warriors will gladly welcome any W they can get with the battle in the West heating up. After the victory, they improved to 17-15 on the season,, good for eighth in the West and one game ahead of the surging Dallas Mavericks.
