Stephen Curry just added another award to his trophy case. The Golden State Warriors star was named the ESPYs award winner for Best NBA Player, as voted on by fans. Curry beat out finalists Luka Doncic, Chris Paul, and Nikola Jokic for the award.

In a moment of gratitude, the Warriors icon spoke out on his win, thanking the fans himself in a heartfelt message:

“I just wanted to thank all the fans who voted for me for best NBA player,” Curry said. “It was a hell of a season, hell of a year. I was trying to reinvent myself on the court, just trying to expand my game. I do it for the fans, I do it for you guys and I really appreciate the love and support. Looking forward to bigger and better things in the future, knowing I still got it.”

The Golden State Warriors weren't able to sneak into the NBA playoffs this season, for the second year in the row. But the massive silver lining is seeing Stephen Curry playing meaningful basketball once again, while looking better than ever at that. The 33-year-old is defying the odds on guards aging well into their thirties.

As we've seen from Chris Paul's Finals run with the Phoenix Suns, the elder statesman guard approaching 30 can still dominate at the highest level. Warriors fans can't wait to see Steph Curry continue to do the same.
