The Golden State Warriors have not been a very good team of late. After losing four out of their last five games prior to the All-Star break, many believed that the Dubs were going to come back with a vengeance after a brief mid-season hiatus. This hasn't been the case for Stephen Curry and Co., however, with the Warriors losing two out of their first three games after the break.
It's a tough road ahead for the Warriors, who many consider as one of the favorites to come out of the West this season. For his part, Curry knows how important the final stretch of the season is and what it is going to be required from himself as well as the rest of the team:

Curry once again took part in this year's All-Star festivities in Cleveland, which cost him a few days from his time with his family during the break. Nevertheless, Curry is just happy to have gotten a quick breather amid what has been a whirlwind of a campaign.
“It’s helpful,” Curry said. The break was “a week later than it usually is. We had a long rough patch getting to it and coming out of it. I think we’re all feeling pretty good about what we need to do, where we’re headed. It’s nice to get away from the game and be with the family, get outside, get some perspective and get ready to bring whatever you have focus-wise, energy-wise for the stretch run.”
The Warriors are currently sitting at the second spot in the West and are seven games behind the top-seeded Phoenix Suns in the loss column. The Suns are dealing with some major injury woes right now with Chris Paul (thumb fracture) and Devin Booker (health and safety protocols) both out of commission. This unfortunate turn of events for the Suns could present itself as an opportunity for the Dubs to close the gap and perhaps, even surpass Phoenix for the top spot in the conference.
