Let the Klay Thompson updates keep rolling. The sidelined Splash Brother is set to return to the Golden State Warriors lineup sooner rather than later, but for now all we have are first-hand accounts.

Stephen Curry was more than willing to talk about what he's seen from Klay Thompson after the Warriors' 123-116 win over the Utah Jazz on New Year's Day. Asked on what he was seeing from Klay in his first scrimmages back with the starters, Curry gave a box-score breakdown of how his co-star performed.

Via The Athletic's Anthony Slater:

“A lot of shots. I think I counted like 17 in 12 minutes. He was getting run.”

How many did he make?

“A good amount,” assured the Warriors star. “He shot over 50%.”

But Klay Thompson's Warriors teammates don't want to put any added pressure towards his return. Dealing with the mental aspect of things at a personal level after being gone for two years is heavy enough. There's no need for anything on top of that. According to Steph Curry, everything will happen in due time.

“It'll all work out the way it's supposed to,” Curry continued. “No matter how many minutes he plays or however he feels those first couple of games, I expect some good things to happen. It'll happen the way it's supposed to. He shouldn't have to force anything.”

“Again – it's just about him having fun and being able to play. When Klay's having fun and playing, good things happen.”

Stephen Curry and Warriors fans alike all just want to see Klay Thompson enjoying the game of basketball once again. The success, the numbers, and the highlights will all follow soon enough.
