Next season, the Stephen Curry Golden State Warriors are set to move out of Oracle Arena and into the brand-new Chase Center. A lot will change for the team and it's fans, as they leave the home of their current dynasty in Oakland and cross the bay to San Francisco.

There is concern about how Oakland fans will respond to the move, and if any will get frustrated enough to abandon the team. But there will be one unexpected casualty of the move: Curry's signature pregame tunnel shot.

Via Scott Ostler of the San Francisco Chronicle:

The shot defines an era that is coming to a close. Sometime between now and the end of the NBA playoffs, Curry will hoist up his final Tunnel Shot. Chase Center will have a different configuration, so the shot will end where it started.

“There’s something special about it being at Oracle,” Curry said. “I don’t want to have to try to re-create it (at Chase). Might be something different.”

It has become a pregame tradition for Curry to step into the tunnel alongside security guard Curtis Jones, labeled the “Assist Man.” Before each home game, Jones feeds the ball to Curry until he drains a ridiculous shot from well into the tunnel.

But unfortunately, this shot will no longer be possible due to the configuration of the Chase Center. Curry and the Warriors hope that his final Tunnel Shot will be memorable — preferably, coming before the final game of another NBA Finals victory. Until then, enjoy the Tunnel Shot while it lasts.
