Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr sure has some jokes. The 53-year-old coach came up with a totally hilarious response when asked about his experience with playing through an eye injury. His response was nothing short of comedic gold:

For some context, this question was raised in reference to the injury sustained by Houston Rockets superstar James Harden on Tuesday. The reigning MVP took multiple shots to the face, which caused lacerations on both of his eyes. Being the hard-nosed player that he is, Harden still played through the injury and would finish Houston's 115-109 defeat with a team-high 29 points (on 9-of-19 shooting), three 3-pointers, seven rebounds, four assists, and a steal.

As for Steve Kerr, his joke was obviously poking fun at himself and his role as a bench player during his time in the NBA. While the 6-foot-3 combo guard may have come off the bench for the most part of his career, he was surely being a bit too hard on himself with his comments here.

Kerr is a five-time NBA champion, winning his first three as part of the historic Chicago Bulls three-peat (their second) under the Michael Jordan regime. Kerr may not have been a starter, but he definitely played a crucial role off the Bulls' bench.

Kerr then made a move to the San Antonio Spurs, where he would win two more titles in the span of four seasons. He did have a reduced role for San Antonio, but he was by no means glued to the bench during his tenure under coach Gregg Popovich.
