Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr says center DeMarcus Cousins is making progress in his rehab, but there's nothing significant to report.

Cousins tore his left quad in Game 2 of the first round against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors are listing Boogie as out indefinitely.

Cousins played in 30 games during the regular season. He averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per contest while shooting 48.0 percent from the field, 27.4 percent from beyond the arc and 73.6 percent from the free-throw line. The Warriors went 23-7 with Cousins in the lineup.

It would be a major surprise if Cousins plays again in the postseason. While the All-Star didn't require surgery for his injury, there isn't enough time for him to rehab and come back in the playoffs, even if the Warriors get back to the NBA Finals.

Cousins becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. He probably won't get a lucrative contract since he's coming off another serious injury. In fact, some believe Cousins will re-sign another cheap deal with the Warriors.

Golden State is up 1-0 on the Houston Rockets in the second round of the playoffs. It's unfortunate Cousins got hurt in the first round. This was the first time in his career Cousins played in the playoffs.
