San Francisco, CA – The last two games haven't been kind to Golden State Warriors' Jordan Poole. He scored under his current season average of 14.0 points in both games. He had 9 points in the Memphis Grizzlies game and 10 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. After consecutive games of not playing up to his potential, some are starting to get a little impatient.

Steve Kerr is the man in charge of getting his players to maximize the Warriors' talents. At practice, a reporter asked if he was talking his young guard through this tough stretch.

“Yeah, that's the job. That's much more the job than drawing up a play or drawing up a practice plan. It's communicating with the players and helping them become the best versions of themselves,” Kerr tells ClutchPoints.

In the Warriors preseason, Poole had it all going offensively. He was scoring efficiently and often. The start of the regular season has been hit and miss but more missing than anything. The pressure of being the player the team needs might be getting to him some. But Kerr doesn't believe the opportunity is too big for the talented 22-year-old.

“Overall, for a young player like Jordan, you want to see an upward trend, and we've seen an upward trend. Tough game last night, but he'll bounce back,” Kerr said.

Poole will get a second chance as the Warriors take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday. He's struggling now, but a breakout game is getting closer by the day. After that, consistency will be the new talking point when it comes to Jordan Poole.
