Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr delivered one of the most moving speeches you'll ever hear from an NBA coach when he spoke bluntly about the Texas school shooting on Tuesday. Kerr was absolutely livid with how these extreme acts of violence continue to haunt the country on what has become a shockingly regular basis. On Thursday ahead of their Game 6 bout against the Dallas Mavericks, Kerr talked about the issue again.

The Warriors coach was in a calmer mood this time around as he focused on what he believes the next step should be to address this ongoing crisis. According to Kerr, he's been telling the public to get involved in whatever way they can:

“I've had a lot of people reach out to me, most aksing what they can do,” Kerr said, via ClutchPoints on Twitter. “I think that's a really good question. So many people want to help and want to know how they can make an impact…  What I'm asking people to do is to get involved in their local communities. There's a lot of amazing gun safety, gun prevention groups out there. Call your senators, call your representatives. It's all very helpful. I've got lots of friends who are Democrats. I've got lots of friends who are Republicans. All I know is they all want gun violence to go away. So we just need to get our public servants to respond to what we all want. I don't know how to do that, but we're gonna try.”

Kerr ended his statement by admitting that he does not know exactly what has to be done to get the government to listen to the people's qualms about gun violence. This is indeed a daunting task and the Warriors shot-caller isn't pretending as if he has an all-encompassing solution to this pressing matter. All Kerr is saying here is that everyone can make an impact in their own little ways, and this is exactly the challenge he's imposing on the American people.
