There were some who felt that Kevin Durant's torn Achilles injury during the NBA Finals actually increased his chances of re-signing with the Golden State Warriors this summer.

Not so fast.

According to Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report, Durant is not too happy with the way things went down in the NBA Finals, with a league executive telling Bucher that Durant is “really pissed off at the Warriors.”

Golden State has been harshly criticized for the way it handled Durant's health, as Durant had been sidelined since late in Game 5 of the second round with a calf strain.

Durant then decided to try to return in Game 5 of the NBA Finals and looked great early, scoring 11 points in the first quarter while showing no ill effects from the injury that kept him out for over a month.

However, during the second period, Durant went to put a move on Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka and crumpled to the floor grabbing his right Achilles.

Bucher adds that the “presumption” is that Durant is displeased with the role the Warriors played in his return. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was told that Durant could not further injure himself upon coming back, and if Durant was told the same, you can see why he would have some feelings of disdain toward Golden State's front office.

It is not known if the calf strain ultimately led to the Achilles injury, and it is also not known if the Dubs made Durant aware of that possibility before he returned.
