Warriors’ Stephen Curry speaks out on 52nd game vs. Chris Paul
San Francisco, CA – Friday night, Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors were seeking revenge against Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns. Earlier this week, the two teams faced each other, and the Suns came away with a victory. Friday night was the 52nd meeting between Curry and Paul, and the Warriors won big this time around.
In his postgame interview, Curry talked about what it’s like going to battle over the years with one of the NBA’s very best, Chris Paul.
“It’s dope to see the evolution of both of our careers. The fact that we’re still in a situation where we’re playing meaningful games. It brings the best out of you for sure,” Curry told ClutchPoints.

In those 52 games against each other, the Warriors star has the lead on Paul with a 29-23 record, according to landofbasketball.com. Eighteen of those games were in the Playoffs, and they are in a deadlock, winning nine apiece.
The Warriors beating the Suns on Friday ties the season series between the two teams. But a tiebreaker is set for Christmas Day, and it will be a game both squads will have circled on their calendar.
These are the two best teams in the NBA at this point, and the chess match that’s happening on the court between the two has basketball fans craving for a playoff series. Both groups will be competing in the postseason, but it’s no guarantee we’ll see this matchup then.
