The Golden State Warriors have enjoyed one of the most dominating runs the NBA has seen. They have won two out of the last three championships and are the overwhelming favorites to repeat in the 2017-18 season.

After struggling with health issues during last year, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr appears ready to lead his team on the sidelines heading into next campaign. According to Marcus Thompson of The Athletic, Kerr believes settling for less may hinder his team's success:

“The biggest challenge is complacency,” Kerr told The Athletic's Marcus Thompson. “We've been to The Finals three years in a row. And for our core group, I guess that would be four or five guys – Shaun (Livingston) and Andre (Iguodala), Steph (Curry), Klay (Thompson), Draymond (Green) – that's a long haul and you just cannot lose your edge in this league.”

It is easy for players to coast during the regular season after several deep playoff runs and the Warriors will have their fair share of sluggish nights. However, the defending champions possess so much offensive and defensive firepower that they should be able to win games based on talent alone.

The Warriors are poised for another title run and it is looking like they will not have much competition. If the team heeds Steve Kerr's warning and does not become complacent, another banner should soon hang inside Oracle Arena.
