Andre Iguodala of the Golden State Warriors is out with a new book. He read a funny story about his teammate, Klay Thompson.

On The Jump, Andre Iguodala promoted his new book ‘The Sixth Man' and briefly explained the process behind writing it. For him, it served as a form of therapy — he had to recall some of the moments from his past, including moments shared with Klay Thompson.

Rachel Nichols of ESPN asked the former NBA Finals MVP to read a hilarious story featuring Klay Thompson during one of their team meetings. Below is the excerpt from the book as read by Andre Iguodala:

“When Klay’s turn came, we all assumed he was going to say that his highest moment was the day he scored 37 points in a quarter against Sacramento,” Iguodala writes. “I mean, that was an NBA record! But he didn’t. Instead he said, ‘My best moment was one night I caught a pass and I was like fifty feet from the basket and I was about to shoot it. And all of a sudden, I hear Andre being like, ‘What the f–k, Klay? You’re fifty feet out.’ And I thought about it for a second and shot it anyway. It went in, and I was like, ‘Yeah, Andre, f–k you.’ We all had a good laugh about that. I was like, ‘Wow, really dog? That was your best moment?'”

It's really an interesting story. Fans don't really see or read about the funny bits behind the curtains. Whenever we hear about their antics off the court, it's always from the media or from a third person. Perhaps Iguodala's book will give fans a better view of an NBA's player life outside the court — from the perspective of an NBA player himself.
