Charles Barkley has the uncanny ability to be funny unintentionally with his occasional mishaps on live television. The “Inside the NBA” analyst made another one on Monday night when he mistakenly said “Stay and Kleph” instead of “Steph and Klay,” of course referring to Golden State Warriors backcourt Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

The rest of the crew — Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kenny Smith — didn't let Barkley's embarrassing slip of the tongue slide and rubbed his mistake right in his face. EJ, though, did jokingly acknowledge that Chuck might have just been feeling the effects of their long day.

Add this one to the long list of the Chuckster's on-air brainfarts.

Give the man a break, though. The Warriors stars have been out of the spotlight for nearly the entire season. Of course, Thompson is still sidelined with his ACL injury from Game 6 of last year's NBA Finals. Meanwhile, Curry only suited up in four games before he broke his left hand at the beginning of the season.

Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry both took part-time jobs as Warriors sideline reporters while they recover from their injuries. The Splash Bros have also been progressing well in their respective rehabs, as evidenced by footage of their shooting drills.

The two really don't have much of an incentive to return this season, though Curry will reportedly still come back and is eyeing a March 1 return to the lineup. This is already a lost season for the Warriors, and they are very well on their way to securing a top draft pick in June. While they're at it, their main focus this season is to develop their younger guys in the hopes that they can be legitimate rotation players for them next season when they get everyone back healthy.
