Thoughts on Seattle Seahawks' wide receiver Tyler Lockett as the newest Splash Brother?

He certainly proved his case by defeating guard Klay Thompson and forward Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors in a mini-shootout that was held in the Seahawks' meeting room on Friday morning.

The Seahawks Twitter page posted footage of the shootout, where Lockett out-shot the two Warriors snipers.

The defending champions were in town to visit the Seahawks facilities prior to their scheduled exhibition match with the Sacramento Kings on Friday night, where the Warriors handled their business easily, winning 122-94.

Based on the video, the final tally saw Lockett win by draining 7 shots. Thompson came in second with 6, while the two-time NBA Finals MVP Durant rounded out with 5.

Lockett was also quick to boast on his victory, claiming that he is in the top five of the best shooters who never played in the NBA. He also added a little reminder that he hailed from Oklahama, which was the team that took on Seattle's beloved Supersonics.

It's easy to see where Lockett gets his basketball ability. The 5-foot-10 Oklahoma-native also played some competitive basketball himself as part of the Booker T. Washington high school basketball team.

He was among those who led their squad to a state championship, as he was also named to the tournament's all-second team. In addition to football and basketball, Lockett was also a top competitor in track and field.

He eventually attended Kansas State to play college football. Lockett is now in his fourth year with the Seahawks, where he recently signed a three-year, $31.8 million contract extension that will keep him with the team through 2021.

Meanwhile, Durant, Thompson, and the rest of the Warriors have three games remaining on their pre-season schedule. They open their 2018-19 campaign at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 16.
