Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry just dropped Marcus Smart in the second quarter of their Saturday night showdown against the Boston Celtics.

Watch the highlight play below:

Marcus Smart is no pushover on defense, so this must have felt good for Curry. The 6-foot-3 Curry, whose strength is very underrated, just used his might to fend off the Celtics' defensive-minded guard. Smart is also known as a notorious flopper. Luckily for Curry, the referees did not call the charge against him on that play.

Smart is being used as the primary defender on the best shooter in the world. Unfortunately, he hasn't been able to stop Curry's skills to get open and find his shots.

Curry got hot in the second quarter as that particular make marked his fifth three-pointer in the game and in the period alone. The defending champions ended the first half with a narrow 61-59 lead. The two-time MVP led all Warriors scorers with 17 points and five three-pointers, while Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson have 16 and 10 points, respectively, after the first 24 minutes.

The Warriors and Celtics figured to be the pre-season favorites to face off in this year's NBA Finals. Of course, other teams like the Toronto Raptors, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Houston Rockets have something to say about that.

But if this indeed will be the match-up in June, then we might as well be in line for one helluva show.
