The Washington Football Team have rallied off two straight wins and are now tied for the division lead at 4-7 going into week 13. They are looking to make that three wins in a row but run into the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL, Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers enter week 13 at 11-0 with one of the best defenses the NFL has ever seen. The Steelers lead the league in sacks, takeaways, and points allowed.

Although Washington may seem like massive underdogs, it would be foolish to count them out.

Here are 4 bold predictions for Washington's week 13 matchup against the Steelers.

#1. The Washington Football Team will defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers

Yes, you heard it here first. The Washington Football Team will hand the Pittsburgh Steelers their first loss of the season.

The Steelers may be one of the most forgettable 11-0 team in recent memory. Thus far, the Steelers have only won four games against teams that have a record above .500. They're also coming off of a shaky five-point victory against a Ravens team without Lamar Jackson. They are not invincible despite their perfect record.

The Washington Football Team on the other hand, has been rolling since the resurgence of Alex Smith. Washington has won their last two games and has done so in convincing fashion. The Football Team's defense has been a major bright spot and I could see them giving the Steelers offense some trouble.

Washington shocks the league and defeats the Steelers on Monday Night Football.

#2. There will be less than 45 points scored between the two teams

This matchup may not seem like a clash of the titans' matchup, but when it comes to passing defense, that's exactly what this is. The Steelers and the Football Team rank #1 and #2 respectively when it comes to passing yards allowed this season. Both secondaries have done an excellent job limiting the deep ball this season, but the real success has to be attributed to the pass rush.

On Washington's end, Chase Young, Jonathan Allen, Montez Sweat, and Daron Payne have all lived up to their first-round potential wreaking havoc on opposing offensive lines. Immobile quarterbacks like Big Ben may have trouble escaping a collapsing pocket, causing rushed decisions.

Similar to the Steelers, Washington also has an immobile quarterback and will definitely struggle to find open receivers downfield.

This will be a defensive showdown with plenty of defensive stops and punts. Don't expect this game to exceed 45 total points.

#3. Terry McLaurin will record double-digit receptions

Over the last two seasons, the Washington passing attack has been one of the worst in the NFL. They've gone through five different quarterbacks and have ranked near the bottom in almost every significant passing category.

Through all of the uncertainty, Terry McLaurin has been a massive bright spot on this offense. McLaurin makes up most of Washington's target shares among receivers and ranks fourth in the NFL in receiving yards going into week 13.

McLaurin's strength lies in his route running and ability to make a play after the catch. Scary Terry should see a healthy dose of crossing routes, slants, and comebacks on Monday night.

Why would this result in double-digit receptions?

Alex Smith will face constant pressure in this game, so he will have limited time in the pocket to find open receivers. Short crossing routes and slant routes will be the only thing Smith will have time to get off.

McLaurin is also the most skilled receiver on the team by far and could be the only player that is able to separate and make contested catches. I predict that McLaurin has a monster game.

#4. Washington will intercept Ben Roethlisberger two or more times

Big Ben has been remarkable this season, but he is not turnover prone. Ben has thrown only six interceptions all season, however, he has thrown one interception in back to back games. This week he will be facing the best pass defense in the NFL that isn't named the Steelers, so this will be his biggest test yet.

With the Football Teams' pass rush being as good as it is, and Ben being as immobile as he is, I would expect some ill-advised throws under duress. Kendall Fuller and Ronald Darby have been playing at a pro-bowl level this year, and even rookie safety, Kamren Curl, has been a nice addition to the Washington secondary.

The Football Team's secondary does a really nice job limiting opposing quarterbacks and currently ranks seventh in the NFL in opposing QB rating (88.5).

Overall

The Football Team is coming off of an impressive performance against their division rival Dallas Cowboys, defeating them 41-16 on turkey day. We saw breakout performances from rookie running back Antonio Gibson, and flashes of what this defense is capable of. The Steelers, on the other hand, are due for a loss. Last week the Steelers lost another linebacker for the season (Bud Dupree) and have definitely shown their vulnerability on the offensive end.

Don't be surprised if the Washington Football Team shocks the world on Monday Night Football in a low-scoring, turnover-filled matchup.
