It appears the Washington Football Team will be without star safety Landon Collins for the remainder of the season.

That is according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, whose sources have told him that they believe he has suffered an Achilles injury. The team will have him get an MRI tomorrow, but the franchise is already expecting the worst.

This is not good for the Washington Football Team, who are still in the running for a division title in an abysmal NFC East. They are currently in second place with a record of 2-5. Washington beat the Dallas Cowboys earlier today by a score of 25-3. They have a bye next week before facing the New York Giants at home on Nov. 8.

Collins had 37 tackles, one sack and interception thus far this season before the injury. Collins is in his sixth season in the NFL and his second with Washington after being with the Giants for four seasons.

More updates on Collins' condition will be coming as they are made available.
