E3 2021 Season is back, and not just it's online-only doesn't mean it's not worth watching out for anymore. As for us fans, there's a lot that we can anticipate. If you're not familiar with the latest news, rumors, and leaks, then you've come to the right place. Check out the things that you should look out for in Nintendo's E3 presentation.

Nintendo's Presentation for E3 2021: Nintendo Direct + Treehouse

Let's start with the official announcements. The company announced through its official Twitter account that it will be holding a 40-minute Nintendo Direct. The last time we've had a Direct was back in February earlier this year. Directs always have a lot of big announcements. Even when fans speculate on what Nintendo will announce, they almost always still leave the crowd surprised.

After the Direct presentation, there will be Nintendo Treehouse live stream. During Treehouse, the company features gameplay from its upcoming games, and also from games with big updates.

As for the specifics, well, the company's notorious for not revealing their hand ahead of time. Hence, apart from the schedule, they didn't really give any more details. The presentation and live stream will come on the last day of E3 2021. They go live at 9 AM PST, June 15, 2021.

The Usual Suspects: Breath of the Wild 2, Bayonetta 3, Super Nintendo Switch Pro

As for the speculations, we start with the usual suspects. We're sure that titles such as Breath of the Wild 2, Bayonetta 3, and Metroid Prime 4 are in the works. There's a high chance that these three will show up during the Nintendo Direct. If we're lucky, we might even see some gameplay footage of them during the Treehouse live stream.

Meanwhile, rumors about a new console as the successor for the Nintendo Switch have been the talk of the town. Rumors said that the new console will be revealed before E3 to let publishers reveal their game during E3 for the new console. However, given that the E3 presentation will be happening on the last day of the event, the unveiling of this console's become more unlikely than ever.

Apart from these, we're also keen on seeing new gameplay footage for the announced Pokemon games. We'd love to see new gameplay footage for Pokemon Legends Arceus and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Remakes. Another title we'd love to see during the E3 Presentation is Splatoon 3.

Possible Appearances: Sonic, Fortnite, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Meanwhile, some titles have been quiet for a while, but may still appear during the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct. While these don't exactly have any basis directly correlated to the company itself, the activities of these titles may splash over. For example, the Sonic the Hedgehog 30th-anniversary celebration this year may feature some collaborations with Mario, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, or Animal Crossing. The news about Fortnite aggressively getting collaborations with other titles may spill over to Nintendo's games. Who knows, maybe we'll soon see Mario-themed items going to the Battle Royale Island?

Finally, we're most likely going to get some new updates for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It would be sweet if they can use the E3 event as a platform for announcements of new DLC characters. There are a lot of good candidates that can be added to the game, and we can't wait to get even more iconic video game characters into Smash.
