The Washington Wizards are in the Empire State to take on the New York Knicks Thursday night. Below we will continue our NBA odds series as we hand out a Wizards-Knicks prediction and pick. We will also let you know how to watch the game.

The Wizards are 7-32 this season, and they are coming off a 12-point home loss against the short-handed Detroit Pistons. Washington has not played well at all this season, and it has shown in their two games against New York. They have lost by 21 points and 16 points, with both games being played in Washington. In those games, Kyle Kuzma is averaging 23.0 points to lead the team. Deni Avdija has scored 41 total points against the Knicks while Jordan Poole is averaging an abysmal 9.0 points. Isaiah Livers and Marvin Bagley III could make their Wizards debut in this game after being acquired via trade. Daniel Gafford left Monday's game with a head injury, so the Wizards will definitely keep a close eye on that.

New York will be on their second game of a back-to-back after hosting the Houston Rockets Wednesday night. Jalen Brunson is having an awesome season as he is scoring 25.8 points per game with 6.4 assists. However, he is questionable with a calf injury. Julius Randle is second on the team in scoring as he averages over 24 points per game and almost 10 rebounds. These two players are combining for 63 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 assists against the Wizards this season. Since acquiring O.G Anunoby, the Knicks are 6-2 this season, as well.

Why The Wizards Could Cover The Spread

Washington is bad on defense, so they need to be very good on offense. The Wizards score 115.5 points per game, which is middle of the pack in the NBA. The Wizards are also seventh in the NBA in field goals made per game. Washington needs to make their shots in this game. If the Wizards can find a way to knock down their shots and put up some points, they will be able to cover this spread.

Why The Knicks Could Cover The Spread

The Wizards play some of the worst defense in the entire NBA. They allow 125.3 points per game, which is worst in the league. Opponents also shoot 50.0 percent from the floor (third-highest), and 38.0 percent from beyond the arc (ninth-highest) against the Wizards. The Knicks have already scored 121 and 120 points against them, and should have no problem doing so again in this one.

Washington is 1-26 when allowing 120+ points this season. The Knicks are 11-6 when they score 120+ points this season. I do not see a way in which New York does not score over that mark. Because of this, the Knicks should have no problem winning this game and blowing out the Wizards.

Final Wizards-Knicks Prediction & Pick

The Wizards are not a good team. They lost to the Pistons in their last game, so they are clearly not a good team. The Knicks have been able to handle business against the Wizards twice already this season, and I do not see a different outcome happening in this game. I am going to take the Knicks to win this game and cover the spread as they blow out the Wizards.

Final Wizards-Knicks Prediction & Pick: Knicks -12 (-110), Under 234.5 (-108)
