With reports coming out on Tuesday that the Washington Wizards are hoping to trade center Marcin Gortat before Thursday's trade deadline, Gortat's Wizards teammate and star point guard John Wall went on ESPN and threw some major shade at him this afternoon.

This was in response to what seemed to be a very sarcastic tweet from Gortat following last Thursday night's 122-119 victory over the Toronto Raptors at Capital One Arena, as Gortat put quotations around one important word: team.

On Tuesday's episode of SportsCenter prior to the Wizards' primetime matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center, Wall said he was surprised by the tweet and essentially fired back at Gortat.

“The way he put the team,” Wall said of Gortat's tweet on SportsCenter. “And I was like ‘whoa.' But it is what it is. Everybody has their own opinion and they say what they say. I know what I do and what I bring to a team. I know I'm a team player.”

Wall backed up his notion of being a good team player by bringing up his numbers and that he gets Gortat some of the easiest shot-attempts possible.

“I average almost 10 assists a game and I'm very prideful in finding my teammates and getting these guys easy shots,” Wall said. “And it was more just shocking to hear it from him. Understanding that he gets the most assists from me and the most spoon-fed baskets ever.”
