When Danna Brooke entered the ring for her scheduled bout versus Becky Lynch, it came with very little fanfare from the WWE Universe.
For one thing, she didn't have an entrance, at least not one that was televised. And then, after watching her opponent–one of the most decorated wrestlers of all time–make her way down to the ring in what many considered a likely squash, the geeks, as Bryan Alverez would put it, who typically compete for the 24/7 Championship charged the ring and got into their usual shenanigans in the middle of the match.
Brooke, to her credit, maintained her composure and took down Akira Tozawa for the one-two-three, and suddenly found herself the 24/7 Champion in the process.
Word of advice: Don't interrupt @BeckyLynchWWE during one of her matches. #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/yEBn47FxX0

This, rightfully or not, didn't sit too kindly with Lynch, as she called out Brooke for winning a title while she was in the ring and demanded their bout be for the belt instead of just a bigger purse at the pay window.
This, too, didn't sit particularly well with everyone, as Asuka, Lynch's current rival, charged the ring at the end of the contest and helped Brooke to retain her gold from the woman once known the world over as “Becky Two Belts.”
Goodness, factor in Seth Rollins' decision to attack Cody Rhodes after the duo shared a nice moment in the ring, and Monday's edition of Raw wasn't too kind to the Lynch-Rollins household.
At some point, this has to come to an end. At some point, Lynch and Asuka will take to the ring in a definitive one-on-one match and they can settle their differences once and for all but today isn't that day. No, today, Danna Brooke is the 24/7 Champion and that, friends, is certainly not something you expected to read when you woke up this morning.
