WWE chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon took a leave of absence on May 19th and now, it appears the company is using the media to deteriorate her name, which includes her father, Vince McMahon.

The confusing part here that shows the WWE is doing some fishy business is this. McMahon said she was taking a leave of absence, per Wrestling Observer Radio, but other reports claimed that her dad actually fired her for poor performance, as noted by Business Insider.

Here is more insight on the situation, courtesy of What Culture:

McMahon has not said, hinted at, or leaked anything significant enough to prompt this action. WWE, meanwhile, has gone to other places to plant burials as well. Meltzer believes that something must have happened to trigger this, as Stephanie returning to WWE is now significantly more difficult than before the article's publication.

Moral of the story? Stephanie McMahon's return to the WWE is looking increasingly unlikely. Vince McMahon and the corporation is evidently twisting the whole story and telling different media publications different things. Whether it's true or not that she took a leave of absence to focus on family time, her future with the WWE is definitely in doubt. If it does come to fruition that her dad did actually fire her, that would also be quite disturbing.
