Move over “Hangman” Adam Page, the WWE has their own, super-sized version of the crowd-pleasing performer in… Brock Lesner? “The Beast Incarnate?” Yes, you read that correctly, after years of being the “final boss” of Vince McMahon's promotion, Lenser has been thrust into babyface duty against “The Head of the Table,” Roman Reigns, and, weirdly enough, he's sort of loving it.

That's right, despite being a less than willing weekly performer who gets paid more per match than 99 percent of wrestlers the world over, Lesner has seemingly a ton of fun in playing the light-hearted hero who will still destroy a would-be opponent in the squared circle but will do so wearing a cowboy hat walking down to the ring and, incredibly enough, fist-bumping with fans at ringside.

Brock Lenser? Smiling? Having fun with… children? What in the sam heck is going on?

Now granted, Lesner's new fun-loving personality isn't going to magically change the perception of his booking. After turning in a less than ideal performance at WrestleMania 38 that largely underwhelmed versus the main even from the night before, folks were largely excited to see who Reigns would wrestle next, instead of yet another bout versus Brock for the title – their eighth such match as members of WWE.

And yet, there's something about Lesner that just feels different this time around. Maybe he's happy knowing that his current program will last less than a month and he can return to the farm for the next nine-ish months but who knows, maybe, just maybe, fans will actually be afforded an interesting angle with “Cowboy” Brock Lesner – an angle that could put over a younger performer in the process.
