One of the weirdest stories of the 2022 calendar year in the WWE Universe has been the status of former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Naomi and Sasha Banks.
That's right, ever since the duo walked out of a show following a reportedly heated back and forth with the higher-ups, the duo has been MIA from everything WWE save a stern condemnation from the commentary team that took place well over a month ago at this point. And yet, other than switching out their names on social media and an occasional salacious interaction like Banks' decision to party with Steve Aoki or reports that “The Boss” was officially fired, things have been oddly silent.
So naturally, when Naomi posts something like this in her Instagram story, it's going to draw more than a few eyes from the wrestling world.

Huh, no way that's relevant to WWE, right?
Though there's no way of knowing exactly what Naomi is referencing, it is rather odd timing to see the exemplary in-ring talent make such a statement in the current climate surrounding her current/former employer, as the bit about manipulators is sort of a big part of the allegations leveled at Vince McMahon by the rapidly expanding collection of women who are accusing the former commentator of impropriety. Or maybe it has to do with the story that creative intended for Banks to go solo to wrestle Ronda Rousey and put a damper on her tag team run with Naomi.
Either way, not a particularly good look for WWE indeed.
