Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski is looking for a brand new deal at the Allianz Arena, but the German giants have yet to put one on the table. He wants security for his future and could be keen on a move to Barcelona if they don't extend him, according to recent reports.

While Barca isn't in direct contact with the Pole, they have spoken to his agent. At this point, nothing has materialized to the point of him actually leaving Bayern, but by no surprise, Xavi was asked on Wednesday about the possibility of Barcelona signing him this summer prior to the club's huge Europa League quarterfinals second leg against Frankfurt.

Via Fabrizio Romano:

“It is not the moment to talk about Lewandowski.

“I respect him a lot as a player, but we focus on tomorrow's match and not potential signings. I will not say anything else about it.”

Barcelona would be delighted to bring in a player of Lewandowski's caliber, who has already scored 45 goals across all competitions this term. But, as Xavi said, this isn't the time to speak about it.

Bayern director Oliver Kahn insists Lewandowski will stay put, but if the club doesn't give him a three-year contract, he wants to leave. Also, Julian Nagelsmann's men were just shocked by Villarreal in the Champions League quarterfinals, which isn't exactly going to please Lewa as he seeks to win more trophies.

Barcelona is looking like a much different team since the arrival of Xavi and the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ferran Torres from England. If the Catalans could actually add Robert Lewandowski into the mix as well, it's going to be a scary sight.
