The Seattle Seahawks have a long journey ahead as the franchise aims to recover from trading away Russell Wilson. It'll be difficult to be competitive in the upcoming season, but the front office has constructed a solid foundation to build upon for the future. Plenty of prospects will have a chance to shine and make an impact on this franchise. With that in mind, we take a look at one undrafted free agent who will make the Seahawks' 2022 roster.
Seattle needs help on offense and defense. For that reason, there will be plenty of chances for the young rookies to prove themselves. The front office signed 14 undrafted free agents, giving the Seahawks plenty of options to generate the best roster possible for the 2022 season. It'll be interesting to see the camp battles play out, as this organization is going through a major shift in talent.
One area that is still a major concern is the offensive line. The front office has made the right decisions so far this offseason after selecting Charles Cross in the first round of the NFL Draft. Even so, the Seahawks will hope for someone to stand out as a unique option for the backup roles within the offensive line. That would be the best-case scenario for this franchise in training camp.
With that said, here is our one undrafted free agent to make the Seahawks' 2022 roster.

Seahawks Undrafted Free Agent To Make 2022 Roster
Shamarious Gilmore
The offensive line has been atrocious in Seattle for years. It's part of the reason that forced Russell Wilson to become frustrated with the front office. However, the franchise has powered forward and is finally building up the trenches for either Geno Smith or Drew Lock. Due to the lack of talent on the roster, Shamarious Gilmore has a real chance at making the final roster.
Coming out of Georgia State, Gilmore hopes to be a contributor to Seattle's offensive line. He played a major role in helping the Georgia State Panthers establish the run game, as Shamarious Gilmore was recognized for his efforts in run blocking throughout his collegiate career. With a putrid group of linemen on the Seahawks' roster, this undrafted rookie has a real chance to earn a backup role in 2022.
Pete Carroll has been an advocate for running the ball. He's been rather vocal about it as he wants to establish the run. Considering the state of the quarterback situation that will be a smart decision for the 2022 season. This is a perfect scenario for Shamarious Gilmore, as he excels in run blocking. With Gilmore's experienced combined with his expertise, he could be a surprise standout through training camp for the Seahawks.
Shamarious Gilmore will be in direct competition with Phil Haynes, Matt Gotel, and Pier-Olivier Lestage. It will be a hard-fought battle throughout the summer. The Seahawks have plenty of options at their disposal, which is a great situation for this franchise considering how bad the offensive line has been in recent years. If Gilmore can put together a strong camp we should see him on the roster to begin the regular season.
Keep an eye on this prospect, as the Seahawks might have found a gem. Look for Gilmore to turn some heads in training camp even though he has an uphill battle ahead.
