The New England Patriots woke everyone up on Monday morning by making a move to acquire Mohamed Sanu from the Atlanta Falcons. The trade involves the Patriots handing over a second-round pick for the veteran wide receiver.

This move goes to show why New England remains atop the NFL as the greatest dynasty to ever exist in sports history. Even with a 7-0 record, Bill Belichick and company aren't complacent.

During the team's 7-0 start, the offense has been the so-called ‘weakness' of the team with the lack of weapons at Tom Brady's disposal. Injuries to Josh Gordon and N'Keal Harry sort of expedited the process of them searching for a wide receiver via trade.

This season with the Falcons, Sanu has hauled in 33 receptions for 313 yards and a touchdown. Over recent seasons, Sanu has been one of the best slot receivers in the NFL. Considering that, here are three bold predictions for Sanu with the Patriots.

3. Sanu will catch 50 passes

The Patriots will have Sanu in their offense for the final nine games of the season. In those nine games, he'll become a reliable target for Brady alongside Julian Edelman and company.

Again, in seven games in Atlanta, Sanu has been able to corral 33 receptions in 2019. With the Patriots, he'll be able to collect 50 catches to tack on to the 33 that he already has.

Sanu's single-season high for receptions is 67 in his second season with the Falcons in 2017. The connection between Brady and Sanu is going to be lethal for New England.

2. Sanu will catch five touchdowns

Since coming into the NFL in 2012, one of the only areas that Sanu has lacked in is touchdowns. Over his eight-year career, he's only managed to come down with 25 touchdowns.

Furthermore, there have only been two seasons where he has caught five touchdowns. With that being said, he's going to catch five touchdowns for the Patriots before the season ends.

New England didn't surrender a second-round pick for no reason. Josh McDaniels is going to have plenty of ways to get his new shiny weapon involved in the aerial attack.

1. Sanu will throw two touchdowns

Going back to his days with the Cincinnati Bengals, Sanu has shown that he's capable of throwing the ball down the field. As a matter of fact, he boasts a perfect passer rating as he's completed seven of his eight attempts for 233 yards and four touchdowns in his career.

In light of that, let's get somewhat crazy for the last bold prediction. The versatile wide receiver is going to throw two touchdowns for the Patriots by the time the playoffs begin.

The former Falcons' wide receiver has thrown four touchdowns but all of them have been spread across different seasons. With McDaniels drawing up plays, there's no doubt that Sanu is going to get a chance to show off his arm.

When facing New England, you now have to prepare to defend possible plays that have Edelman or Sanu throwing the ball. Good luck with that.
