The Kansas City Chiefs struggled in their last two games but bounced back against the Philadelphia Eagles. It was a must-win situation for Kansas City and they came through. We'll see if they carry this momentum into their next matchup. It's time to continue our NFL takeaways series with a Chiefs Week 4 takeaway.

Philadelphia tried their best to keep up but the Chiefs were just too much to handle. Kansas City did a great job maintaining the lead but it never was really in doubt. This Chiefs team is one of the best in the league regardless of their 2-2 record.

Although that's true, Travis Kelce disappeared in this matchup. It's a rare occurrence that doesn't necessarily happen. However, it led to Tyreek Hill having a monster performance. Additionally, Patrick Mahomes looked comfortable and worked his magic. With that said, here are three Chiefs Week 4 takeaways from their game against the Eagles.

Chiefs Week 4 Takeaways

3.  Travis Kelce got lost in the mix on Sunday

Normally Travis Kelce is bulletproof but the Eagles slowed him down in this contest. He only managed four receptions for 23 yards and just couldn't get things going. Luckily his production wasn't needed but it was quite alarming to see on Sunday.

In previous matchups this year, Travis Kelce has been the top receiver on the team. During those games, Tyreek Hill was the one who struggled. Typically the duo co-exists but it seems to be a different story this season. We'll see if the two can simultaneously put up big numbers together as the season goes on, but only time will tell.

2. Tyreek Hill took advantage of the Eagles weak secondary

Tyreek Hill looked phenomenal on Sunday. He reeled in 11 receptions for 186 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Chiefs in all three categories. The Eagles had no answer for Hill as he did whatever he wanted throughout the entire game.

It felt like Mahomes targeted Hill every time he dropped back to pass. Everyone knows Hill or Kelce will be getting the ball but nobody can slow Kansas City down. The Chiefs star wide receiver is bound to have big games like this throughout the season.

Considering how great the passing attack in Kansas City is, it's surprising no other receiver can get on Mahomes' radar. Mecole Hardman and Bryon Pringle have had multiple chances to serve as a legitimate option. However, they tend to fall short. Even so, Tyreek Hill is a monster and he's not going anywhere soon.

1. Patrick Mahomes is still Patrick Mahomes

Was there ever any doubt? The Chiefs lost two tough games in previous matchups but got the job done against Philadelphia. Patrick Mahomes threw the ball all over the place and even recorded an underhand toss to Clyde Edwards-Helaire on Sunday.

He's the best quarterback in the NFL and will be for quite some time. The Chiefs hope to make another Super Bowl appearance this year after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, the AFC West has been surprisingly competitive to start the season so the Chiefs have their work cut out for them. As long as Mahomes airs it out as he did against the Eagles, the Chiefs will always have a chance.
